In a world where the few have and the many have not, Ebenezer Scrooge is a mean miser with money on his mind.

An unscrupulous loan-shark preying on the desperation of the poor, he sows loans to those who can ill afford them and harvests debts at a plentiful rate. Callous and crooked, Scrooge cares nothing for the lives he ruins along the way, until one Christmas Eve he is brought face to face with fate in a night that promises he will never be the same again.

Buckeridge holds the play together fabulously as the storyteller - blending seamlessly into the action.
