Following a spectacular debut in 2015, The Easter Production returned to the stage for the Easter weekend 2017. This dramatic and incredibly moving musical passion play brought together talent from across the West Midlands, featuring original songs and powerful performances, telling the story of Jesus’s final days, death, and resurrection; all through the eyes of those who lived it with him. This production gave an experience of the Easter story as never before.
The Passion Play is one of the oldest theatrical traditions in Britain, dating as far back as the fifteenth century. Parable Arts is proud to be taking part in this innovative and inspirational re-imagining of this ancient tradition. Having directed the previous incarnation of this production, Good Friday, in 2015, Jon reprised his role as director, with Miriam joining him as assistant director and acting coach. Joined by sterling team of creatives including musicians, graphic designers, vocal coaches and composers, the Parable Arts team are honoured to be marshalling this production to new levels of excellence.
